Uniondale, NY – March 19, 2008 - RXR Realty LLC (“RXR”) has announced the formation of its “Green Buildings Committee.” The committee will focus on bettering the communities in which the Company operates by increasing the energy efficiency of its operations while lessening the environmental impact of existing and future developments.

“Forming this committee represents the continued commitment of RXR to promote innovation in energy-efficient buildings and environmentally-sensitive development,’’ said Scott Rechler, Chairman and CEO of RXR.

Committee members will seek to meet these challenges by developing creative solutions that decrease RXR’s carbon footprint through significantly lowering emissions of greenhouse gasses. “We stand firmly committed to the proposition that helping the environment and fostering economic development aren’t mutually exclusive,” Rechler said.

Mr. Rechler is being honored on Wednesday, March 19, at the Long Island Marriott Hotel & Conference Center, by the Long Island Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC-LI) for his leadership in developing and implementing healthier, more efficient building standards and practices at RXR.

The mission of the Green Buildings Committee calls for enhancing energy efficiency in both existing and new developments as well as sourcing new energy options including solar panels, wind turbines, fuel cell technology, cogeneration plants and thermal storage solutions. The committee will assist RXR tenants, vendors and suppliers in sourcing environmentally friendly products, material and systems to further this important cause.

Members of RXR’s Green Buildings Committee specialize in a wide range of professional disciplines including design, construction, leasing, marketing and operations. RXR’s Green Buildings Committee is chaired by Walt Smith, RA, Executive Vice President, Operations.
