RXR Partners with TIAA-CREF to Help the Environment
Across the Company’s prime portfolio, TIAA-CREF and RXR are doing our part to save energy and help fight global warming. With the help of our tenants, we can do even more.
Our goal is to ask each of the employees at the companies across our prime properties to replace at least one incandescent light bulb at home with a compact fluorescent light (CFL) that's earned the ENERGY STAR® label for excellence in energy efficiency. By reaching this goal, we will be making a significant positive impact on our environment, saving kilowatt hours of electricity and preventing metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions.
To turn this goal into a reality, TIAA-CREF, RXR’s investment partner, is providing one free CFL to everyone within RXR’s prime portfolio.
Every ENERGY STAR qualified light bulb uses 75% less energy than a standard bulb and lasts up 10 times longer. The distribution program will launch at the end of October 2008.
