Accounts Representative – Accounts Receivable: Uniondale, New York
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Supports the Accounts Receivable Team in meeting its mission of providing timely, accurate and concise billing. Responds to tenant and internal queries in courteous, thoughtful and professional manner. Maintains the highest standards of data integrity.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Performs Lease Set up for Westchester, Connecticut and New Jersey Divisions.
2. Communicates with Salespeople, Leasing Administrator, Asset Manager, and responds to Tenant Inquires.
3. Makes and logs collection calls for Westchester, Connecticut and New Jersey .Divisions, reporting back to Manager should the situation need to be escalated.
4. Responsible for Operating and Real Estate Tax Escalation Billings in accordance with lease agreements for Westchester, Connecticut and New Jersey Divisions.
5. Prepares the Security Deposit Schedule and all Bank reconciliations for the security bank accounts on a quarterly basis; all divisions (not immediately).
6. Prepares all necessary paperwork for refunding Security Deposits and credit balances to tenants.
7. Posts cash receipts.
8. Performs Quarterly A/R reconciliation.
9. Compiles and Distributes prepaid rent schedule.
10. Maintains all stacking plans for Westchester, Connecticut and New Jersey Divisions.
11. Reviews closeday reports and distribution of change reports.
12. Calculate late fees in accordance with the lease agreement.
13. Integration of new assets in Westchester, Connecticut and New Jersey Divisions.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
• 2-3 years minimum experience in Real Estate Accounts Receivable
• Associates Degree preferred
• Must have strong Excel spreadsheet organizational skills as well as Microsoft Office programs
• Familiarity with or ability to learn IBS accounting software
• Must be able to read and interpret lease agreements
• Must have knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Must be proactive and communicative team player
• Must have the ability to work well under pressure and meet set guidelines
